Dauphin model in the wind tunnel

The presence of the rotor LEXIQUE and its wake LEXIQUE substantially modifies the flow on the helicopter fuselage. These aerodynamic interactions can have a decisive effect on flight qualities, performance, noise and vibrations.

Numerical computations are used to gain a better understanding of these interactions and optimise certain factors to improve the flight conditions.

These computations are validated by accurate measurements made in the air flow around a model in the wind tunnel LEXIQUE, under realistic flight conditions.
