Io ( = 2.2 µm)

Io is the 3660km-diameter volcanic moon of Jupiter. Covered by active volcanoes and lava fields, Io's surface is continuously reshaped. The variations in appearance and colour are due to different volcanic deposits of sulphur compounds.
