Synopsis

The 2007 AEROSPACE THEMATIC WORKSHOP on "Fundamentals of Aerodynamic-Flow and Combustion Control by Plasmas" is scheduled for May 28 – 31 in Villa Monastero, Varenna, Italy, a truly magnificent location on the shores of Como lake (villamonastero.org/e/w3c/indice_e.htm). It is the very first of a cycle of conferences dedicated to the fundamental issues in basic scientific disciplines of importance to aeronautics and space development.

The workshop addresses fundamental issues, experimental challenges and measurement methods. It is managed by Domenico Giordano (Esa-Estec, Noordwijk, NL), Christophe Laux (Ecole Centrale, Paris), Svetlana Starikovskaia (Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow) and Jean-Pierre Taran (Onera, Paris).

We anticipate a stimulating and exciting atmosphere with many opportunities to discuss the critical issues associated with the disciplines dealt with in our workshop.

Limited support in terms of fee reduction is available to residents of NIS countries and students.

The Application Form must be used to apply for participation to the workshop. Do not send payment with the form. When your application is accepted, you will be sent a registration card and an invoice. It is at that time that you will be asked to send the registration fee of 700 euros. The fee includes lunches, dinners, coffee breaks (from Monday 28 to Thursday 31 May) and the conference banquet. The fee increases to 770 euros if not submitted with the registration card before April 15. If you wish to apply, mail or fax or e-mail the Application Form to the contact person indicated therein soon because we anticipate that the workshop will be over-subscribed (maximum attendance is about 70).

The Poster-Submission Form is required to submit a poster presentation. Complete information concerning posters is contained on that form.
