EUCASS 2009

After the success of the last two EUCASS conferences in Moscow and Brussels each featuring about 350 scientific presentations and attracting in excess of 500 participants, we are pleased to announce the 3^rd EUCASS conference to take place in 2009 in Versailles.

EUCASS, the European Conference for AeroSpace Sciences, was formed by European scientists and engineers to improve the vitality of their scientific communication, the quality of their technical activities and to stimulate exchanges between researchers and industry end-users worldwide.

EUCASS also is an association

Since July 6th, 2006, EUCASS is a non-profit association under Belgian law. The association is now 500 members-strong and is affiliated to the International Astronautical Federation as well as a partner of the Aerospace Testing Expo organised by Reed Exhibition, EUCASS is a unique and high-level forum for all European aerospace research players. It is also a conference where scientists from non-European countries can gain a comprehensive picture of European accomplishments at an affordable cost.

Goals

Furthermore, EUCASS intends to bring together all the expertise available to foster communication networks, particularly within EU's framework programmes, and is aimed at attracting young scientists to the profession and developing mobility and co-operations in all the states of "Great Europe", including Russia.

Last, EUCASS is the natural venue for exchanges between decision makers in governments and industry, thus becoming their natural meeting ground.

Organisation

The conference will be organised by the ASTech cluster, established in the Paris Region and one of the major clusters in France; ASTech focuses on research and groups the main industries, SMEs, Research Establishments and Authorities. The conference also is supported by Onera, AAAF, Esa, Cnes among others. It will be followed by several European associations that are being invited to join in the preparation of special events.
