Mast Below Setup

Mast below setup

The mast below setup is a device for setting the model in incidence and sideslip. It consists of a semicircular cradle on which a carriage equipped with a turntable moves. The movement of the carriage communicates the incidence to the model, and the rotation of the table itself provides the sideslip. The table can be equipped with a balance for measurement is on the floor or with various masts for closed stream measurements. The motorized incidence range is ± 20º. Wedges make it possible to adjust this operating range in the incidence interval to be explored. The sideslip covers ± 180º. This setup is used as a model support with or without internal balance.
