Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics

Experimental resources

In order to successfully conduct its experimental activities, the DADS department uses its own test facilities in addition to the facilities of the Computing, Engineering and Testing Facilities Division (industrial wind tunnels). Its own resources are made up of:

• experimental resources for design and dynamic resistance
• experimental facilities for the dynamics of structures
• experimental facilities for the aeroelasticty of airfoils
• experimental facilities for vibroacoustics
• experimental facilities for active vibration control

Computing resources

The department has its own resources for all of its activities (departmental servers, PC clusters, workstations and PCs) for all its activities and uses the Large Computing Facilities (Iseran, Galibier) of Onera's GMT Division.

Numerical Simulation Resources

The numerical simulation tools used by the department to carry out its activities consist of:

• the programs developed by the DADS for its own research needs, or for those of industry
• Onera's aerodynamics programs (elsA)

commercial software packages with or without extensions developed by the DADS
