Facilities

Spearheading advances in aerodynamics implies synergy between three components: research teams, metrology methods and test facilities. The Department's test resources incorporate a full line of research wind tunnels covering the entire Mach range from 0 to 10 (subsonic, transonic, supersonic and so-called “cold” hypersonic wind tunnels).

In addition to these facilities, the Department also a number of dedicated setups: an anemoclinometric sensor calibration bench, and Vega 2 turbine test rigs. Onera's sensor calibration expertise is recognized worldwide. The Department also offers extensive wind tunnel-related measurement and diagnostic resources, including:
