SETHI
Custom-tailored measurement
Whether acquiring images or helping to design and test new instruments, SETHI provides a modular solution for costeffective performance.

Six sensors
The SETHI system is designed to support four radar and two optronic sensors. Today, as we begin to unlock the huge potential of multispectral and hybrid optronic/radar imaging, SETHI is the only system that can simultaneously acquire different types of data for comparisons that will greatly further our knowledge.

System Architecture
Leveraging multiple parameters for pertinent data
The first version of SETHI, successfully tested in 2007 with P, L and X-band radars, already offers a wide range of functions:
- High-resolution radar for allweather, day/night mapping.
- Full polarimetric data to classify objects or environments.
- Interferometry to produce digital elevation models (DEM), or detect changes between images.
- Detection of objects through vegetation cover or underground.
Subsequent versions of SETHI will offer high-resolution images in visible and infrared bandwidths, detection of activity indices (thermal analysis) and fine spectral scene analysis, in visible to far-infrared bands.

Plug & play
The SETHI system is based on two multipurpose pods installed under the wings of a Falcon 20. Each of these pods offers a generous payload space measuring 230 centimeters long by 53 centimeters in diameter, and holding up to 120 kilograms.
The data acquisition and control functions are located in the aircraft’s cabin, based on five dedicated bays with two operators. SETHI’s modular design enables it to add a new sensor without changing the basic configuration - which means substantial savings for a company that would like to qualify or develop its own sensor.
Since the complete system is certified by civil aviation authorities, a new sensor can be integrated in the pod without having to be recertified.
