In studying numerical simulation results validation and new measuring systems
for aircraft turbine engines, combustion chambers and micro chambers, the
Sensors and Microtechnology Unit (CMT) of the Physics, Instrumentation and
Sensing Department (DMPH) has been developing thin film sensors and micro
systems. The sensors must be slightly intrusive (to not disturb flows) and
able to be incorporated into components (blades, casing, combustion chambers)
with the minimum of machining.

They must especially be able to withstand
severe conditions, high temperatures in particular. The sensors are worked
out to meet the experimental needs of Onera's research teams and aircraft
engine manufacturers, these sensors are :
