Laser Anemometer Demonstrator for Civil Helicopter
Objective
To construct a laser anemometer demonstrator for measuring absolute helicopter airspeed in relation to the air outside the rotor flow, with a very good precision, including at low speeds.
DOTA’s contribution
Definition and construction of the demonstrator's optical system, with the co-contractor Thales Avionics creating the signal processing and integrating the system.
DOTA’s experience with lidar systems, solid sources and optical architectures has enabled it to construct an innovative optical sensor based on 1.5 µm technology.
