The DPRS has a large pool of workstations and several classified computing networks for its defense applications.

As part of the studies on new concepts for aerospace vehicles, it can take advantage of a design office equipped with all the tools for CAD (Catia, Samcef, …) and integration (Modelcenter).

For the analyses of system performance, the department has numerous software tools adapted to the different application areas:

  • space surveillance: S3
  • Extended Air Defense: Trabal, Eclair, Rempart
  • Space launchers: Flop and generic optimization kernels (Olga, Topase)
  • Cruise missiles: Modem, Athos, Prodigue
  • Interceptor missiles: Galopim, Pims, Cadac, Micado

The department also has generic tools which are used in the implementation of dynamic simulations (Castor) or distributed architectures (Genesis).

Finally, we should emphasize the department human resources; that is, the multi-disciplinary engineers without whom Onera’s ambitious projects, drawing on the skills of all the departments at Onera, would not be possible.
