LNA2
"Low Noise Aircraft" - 2005-2006

Airbus preliminary project which, among other things, includes an experimental and numerical study of the downstream acoustic radiation of fan noise, and of the possibility of masking it with a tail unit wing ("Rear Fuselage Nacelle" type aircraft).

Onera/DSNA (sAbrinA) activity: numerical simulations (2D or 3D-axisymmetric) of the downstream fan noise and possible installation effects due to a tail unit wing.

NACRE
"New Aircraft Concepts REsearch" - 2005-2009

European project mainly aimed at experimental and numerical studies of innovative concepts for quieter aircraft.

Onera/DSNA activity (sAbrinA): numerical simulations (3D-axi) of fan downstream noise.

VITAL
"EnVIronmenTALly Friendly Aero Engine" - 2005-2009

European project (IP) among whose objectives are the experimental and numerical study of innovative concepts for turbojets offering reduced pollutant emissions (chemical and acoustic).

Onera/DSNA activity (sAbrinA): numerical simulations (2D) of equivalent jet and load noises.
