Modeling and Information Processing
On-board and distributed systems
Basic techniques for distribution
Research work
The research and studies performed in the context of this thematic axis aim to suggest procedures that can be used for constructive control of this complexity. The viewpoint adopted is internal to the systems. Therefore, the objects of interest and study are linked to the basic architectures or mechanisms:
- networks and communication bus
- protocols (for communication, synchronisation, cooperation)
- middleware (for communication, data sharing, synchronisation)
- operating systems and kernels
- applications: programming or modeling languages
This work first tries to ensure inclusion of objectives such as:
- Satisfaction of real time requirements
- Logical or temporal determinism
- Performance

Examples of application of research work
- Design and programming of drone architecture with strong embedded autonomy
- Automatic distribution of Scade codes over distributed architecture for aircraft flight controls;
- Study and definition of heterogeneous avionic network architecture for transporting new services;
- Real time distributed simulation (with hardware in the loop) for flight in orbital systems formation;
- Simulation for evaluating an aerial transport system (IESTA).
