With the theme "ONERA thinks up and tests future breakthroughs", the French aerospace research centre will highlight its technological innovations and its ability to design complex systems for aircraft of the future, both civilian and military. On this occasion, ONERA is presenting three strategic, economic and environmental topics:
- Greener aviation: ONERA participates in the design of new engines and new aircraft configurations to reduce consumption, emissions and noise.
- Performance and control of drones: ONERA presents its expertise in the design of innovative drones and in the fight against malicious drones.
- From the design to the in-flight demonstrator: ONERA illustrates its ability to work in synergy with research agencies and industries, especially SMEs, for the production of demonstrators that are apt for industrialisation.
Without technology there is no programme. However, without research there are no technologies. Two examples will demonstrate the contribution made by Onera's skills in terms of innovation and the need to invest in research in order to continue to transfer validated technologies to the industry, which will allow it to consolidate his lead.
