Synopsis

EUCASS, the European Conference for Aero-Space Sciences, is a new conference organised by research scientists and engineers to facilitate their contacts and develop a lively professional exchange. The prime objective of this conference is to make the latest developments from R&D available to Industry and to have Industry's managers present their major objectives and problems to the research community. The objective is also to develop a truly European spirit among the three main actors that serve aeronautics and space, namely Academia, Research Institutes and Industry. Last but not least, it is also to provide a comprehensive survey of the state of the art to the decision makers in Governments and Agencies.

By giving young scientists the opportunity to meet the senior scientists and Industry leaders of Europe, it is hoped the joint initiative will facilitate careers in the European aerospace and generate vocations. It is also hoped that this conference will increase scientific production of articles and improve the posture of existing European journals.

The conference will highlight advances in key aerospace sciences in 5 parallel symposia under a European Union and Russian co organization: System Integration, Flight Physics, Flight Dynamics and GNC, Structures and Materials, Propulsion Physics.
