Midi-Pyrénées Center / Le Fauga Mauzac

Recently created - construction began on wind tunnel F1 in 1974 - Fauga-Mauzac site is located on a vast 1.5 km² tract of land 30 km south of Toulouse, on the banks of the Garonne river. Wind tunnel F2 is used for research testing in subsonic flows. The hypersonic domain is explored in the high-enthalpy wind tunnel F4.

A part of the main Onera wind-tunnels are located in Fauga-Mauzac center (see GMT wind-tunnels page). So as the Propulsion laboratory (Models for Aerodynamics and Energetics Department - DMAE).

With Onera's Toulouse site, Fauga-Mauzac site is operated under the joint entity Onera's Midi-Pyrénées center.
