Onera 's Computing, Engineering and Testing Facilities

The first mission of the Computing, Engineering and Testing Facilities Division (abbreviated « GMT ») is to provide technical assistance to worldwide aerospace industry and research teams, by operating the windtunnels at Modane-Avrieux and Le Fauga-Mauzac test centres. This entails continual development of test means and methods, involving the scientific departments of ONERA.

The second GMT mission is to design and construct windtunnel models and any complex fluid dynamics devices that ONERA and industrial clients may require.

The third mission of GMT is to manage ONERA's large computing facilities and networks.

The total staff is currently 350.

Appropriate measures are taken in all of the facilities to ensure strict confidentiality of all test services.

The Quality System implemented concerning the test facilities and the design and performance of tests in the facilities is certified to ISO 9001.
