Onera Works with the Entire Aerospace Sector, in a Networked Relationship

Onera is widely recognized by all scientific organizations and industry, working in a broad network with:

• agencies
• industry
• European counterparts
• university research labs

Onera can act as coordinator, partner or service provider, depending on the project.

Here, for example, are the roles played by Onera on several national and international programs:

• Leader of the Iroqua aircraft noise reduction initiative, bringing together Onera, CNRS (French national scientific research agency), Airbus, Dassault Aviation, Eurocopter and Snecma.
• Coordinator of the European project Ultmat, which aims to develop a new family of very-high-temperature resistant materials. Ultmat groups a dozen European academic and industry research labs in six countries.
• Partner in the European project Isaac, to improve certification methods for aircraft systems; coordinated by Alenia, with eight partners including Airbus and Dassault Aviation.
• Supplier to ESA of six ultra-sensitive accelerometers for the Goce fundamental physics mission, designed to measure anomalies in the Earth’s gravity field.
