Onera Plays a Pivotal Role in Shaping Pan-European Aerospace Research

EREA

• We are a founding member of EREA, the association of European Research Establishments in Aerospace. EREA was founded in 1994 by Onera and six European counterparts. Its mission is to coordinate projects and resources, thus enhancing efficiency and avoiding duplication.

French-German Alliance

• Since 2000, Onera and German counterpart DLR have pooled all research on helicopters and tiltrotors. This exemplary agreement is a model for a similar partnership now taking shape for commercial aircraft.

ATA

• ATA, the Aero Testing Alliance, groups the wind tunnels of Onera and DNW, a bilateral alliance that operates the wind tunnels of DLR (Germany) and NLR (Netherlands).

European R&D

• Onera takes an active role in the European Commission’s PCRD framework research & development projects. About fifty of these projects are now under way.
