The core of Emmanuel Rosencher's scientificactivity is in the study of the electrical and optical properties of semiconducting heterostructures and their applications. Although he has done most of his work in industrial laboratories, at the Cnet in Grenoble and the Thomson central research laboratory, Emmanuel Rosencher has always concentrated on upstream research, without ever losing sight of potential applications
The scientificactivity is organized into five scientific divisions dedicated to the basic fields. Aerodynamics, Energy, Materials, Structure Resistance and General Physics
He joined EDF in 1985 where he performed various research and management activities in the field of structural mechanics and, in 2004, he founded the Laboratory for the Mechanics of Sustainable Industrial Structures (LaMSID), a joint research unit with CNRS and CEA extended to ENSTA in 2014... He was Secretary of the EDF Scientific Council from 2004 to 2014 and a member of many Scientific Councils belonging to research and educational institutions in France
