ONERA celebrated the 40th anniversary of its F2 subsonic wind tunnel, marked by adaptability and performance.
On December 1st, 2023, at Fauga Mauzac, many visitors came to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the F2 wind tunnel and salute its assets: its high flow quality, its impressive adaptability to customer needs thanks to its modular structure and its numerous available assemblies , its exceptional measurement capabilities, particularly optical. Not to mention the commitment of the passionate teams, who have continued to take turns for 40 years, to provide ever more data and develop increasingly efficient measurements for the study of takeoff and landing conditions.
Emotion and pride were present among all those who participated in these wonderful years of scientific, technical and human adventures. After 40 years of digital and experimental progress, F2 is still essential and represents an undeniable strength of ONERA to support aeronautical innovation.
