Elise Colin

Dr. Elise Colin received jointly the Dipl. Ing. in electrical engineering from Supelec and the M.Sc. degree in theoretical physics, from the University of Orsay (Paris XI), Paris, France, in 2002. In 2005, she received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Paris VI, Paris, France, and joined the Electromagnetic and Radar Division of ONERA, Palaiseau, France, in which she has been working on the comparison between radar polarimetry and optical polarimetry. In 2013, she joined the Information Processing Department and obtained the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Professoral Thesis) from the University Paris-Sud, Orsay, France, in 2014. She leads several research projects in remote sensing, especially on AI, big data, coherent images, and time series.

Since 2019, Elise has been the co-founder of the start-up ITAE Medical Research, which aims at the commercialization of a device based on the principle of depolarized dynamic speckle, for imaging the microvascularization of blood: www.itae.fr
