The International Workshop of Shock Tube Technology (IWSTT) is a community-organized meeting and its 25th session will be held in France at ONERA Le Fauga center near Toulouse on the 28th - 29th September 2026. The workshop provides a forum for discussion about impulse facilities producing high-enthalpy flows. These include but are not limited to reflected or non-reflected shock/expansion tubes.

The workshop welcomes researchers working in this field of high enthalpy impulse facilities, including PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, academics, as well as representatives of industry and government.

Topics of interest include

  • Impulse facility development and upgrades
  • Best practice ground testing methodologies
  • Sensors and instrumentation
  • Optical diagnostics
  • High-enthalpy/hypersonic flow experiments
  • Facility simulation and numerical tools
  • Radiation and non-equilibrium flows

Programme

  • 28th  Morning : session
  • 28th Afternoon: visit of facilities (F4 and other windtunnels/combustion test rigs)
  • 28th  Evening : Dinner in downtown Toulouse
  • 29th Morning : session
  • 29th Afternoon : wrap-up
